For me, winter is a depressing time.
I’m not entirely sure why. I used to love it. Playing in the snow was what I loved to do. I have so many memories of grinning, running around in bulky clothes, falling, making snow men- and then, of course, going inside and drinking hot chocolate.
Not anymore.
Now, I notice [...]
I wish to feel the rain.
Feel the blissful cool.
Splattering heavily against my brow.
The windshield prevents this, clouded with steam.
I see two lights, fast approaching.
I swerve to avoid them.
Too late.
Tearing metal.
A screech of protesting brakes.
The world suddenly spinning.
Shattering glass.
A flash of red.
Copper musk in the air.
Darkness.
****
Flashing red and blue lights.
Distant voices.
Blood on the steering wheel.
Blood everywhere.
My [...]
Through the woods a girl came sadly.
Something broken in her chest.
She would dared to love another.
Alus, no better than the rest.
Up my path a girl came sadly.
Something opened up my doors.
I longed to stop her bleeding heart.
So I drew her to my shores.
Those you trust will hurt you badly.
Something now I’m sure you see.
Drown your [...]
Tristran awoke to a red dawn that bled across the sky. This was seen as a bad omen through Catiana and Eric’s eyes. He quickly put on his leather armor, grabbed his bow and stepped out of the tent. Tristran scanned where they had set up camp the night before. They were camped in a [...]

I knew something was wrong with my sister when she began laughing at my dipilectic spasms. I have a rare disease named Dipilectica, which causes the afflicted to randomly spasm throughout the week. Dipilectica is [...]
Hate,
Such a short word,
Overused and underestimated.
Love,
Just the same,
An obligation not an emotion.
Think,
Just for one moment,
What it really means.
extremes.
Upon his chest,
Where they spit,
Within the crowd,
His tongue he hid.
Pen ink drip,
Pen ink proud,
Upon the page,
His teeth endowed.
Behind the screen,
Where he now sits,
An angered kid,
With his lip bit.
On the keyboard,
Fingers race,
Divulging secrets,
No show of face.
Digital play,
From head to screen,
Rushing on like,
It’s sweet caffeine.
Something tangible,
Maybe not clean,
A calculating,
Mind machine.
But can he feel it,
In his wrist,
Those bolts [...]

Introduction
“Green eyes, yeah the spotlight, shines upon you.”
She threw her little body into bed. At 15, she’d never felt more fragile in her entire life. So small… So weak… All she wanted to do was crawl under the covers and cry herself to sleep. Maybe she’d dream she was okay [...]

My shadows are fanned out beside me, each a certain degree from the other, surrounding my left side. I’m watching the figures on the ground; head down, pulling a hoodie tightly around themselves with a backpack banging against the backs of their knees. Imagining that the outside world is noiseless and there is nothing [...]
