The color yellow is an extremely prominent one in the world right now, especially due to its popularity in advertising. It is the very brightest and most attention-getting color, because it is the color that reflects the most light. Yellow also tends to get people excited and happy about things. It is a well-known fact in advertising industry that yellow gets people in a buying mood.

Yellow is a very positive color. It makes people feel good, content, and happy. The reason for this is that the sight of the color yellow actually causes the brain to release more serotonin, which is the “happy” chemical. However, like orange, an abundance of yellow can lead to irritability. For instance, babies have been shown to cry more often in rooms that are yellow.

Yellow also is good in that it speeds up the metabolism. It can also bring out creative thoughts. However, due to the fact that it reflects so much light, yellow is known to negatively affect vision if placed in an area where people look a lot.

All in all, yellow is a very positive color with many interesting, documented effects. If you are careful where you use it, this color can seriously affect your life in a positive way.
