The Motherland Calls

A mighty woman,
carrying a mighty decree.
Rising from the forest of bayonets,
the motherland is calling.
She demands a fiercer service
then that of the wizened old man
across the Pacific.
She demands true sacrifice,
every man to his rifle.
She wears a sanguine cloak,
great and heavy.
Her hand outstretched,
towards “Родина зовет!”
Her mighty message.
